Dreaming of elephants
Ever have one of those days when you just wanted to join the circus and clean up elephant poop? It's the perfect job plenty of fresh air, paid travel and housing and think of the job security. Where there are elephants there will be poop and lots of it. I could work at my own pace ie slow, have my very own shovel and all the cotton candy I want. Oh but that's just a fantasy, something to dream about while being yelled at by some patients family member who only comes to visit on what I like to call CME. These are the Christmas, Mothers day and Easter people. You know the ones who forget all about Grandma the other 362 days a year then scream at and complain about the people who take care of her 24/7. Don't get me wrong I love your Grandma or Grandpa or great uncle Joe or mama etc.. I wouldn't be in long term care if I didn't.However I am not the means by which you can relieve your guilt once a year. So if while you are cursing at me because one of Memaws socks got lost in the laundry, you notice an ethereal smile on my face, know that I am in a better place, following behind the elephants.
